World Urban Festival and Forum

I headed down to the World Urban Forum this morning, and scored a press pass without too much trouble. The closing session was just beginning, though, so there wasn't too much action happening in the Exhibition. It was also a stunningly gorgeous day outside, so rather than hang out in the dark ballroom with hundreds of other people listening to the plenary speaker (though I'm sure it was worth hearing), I hopped on over to the World Urban Festival – happening June 21st through 25th down at the Great Northern Way Campus. I managed to score a wee podcast interview for the DeSmogBlog, which made it more than worth my while.

There's lots of cool things to check out down there, and it's happening all weekend, so pop down if you get a chance! Myself, I'll be off in the woods camping with a group of friends...
